Reflecting on a Meaningful Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Thanks to everyone who joined our Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event on January 23rd!  We had an AMAZING and INSPIRING group of volunteers turn out for our cleanup of the Central Germantown business district. We collected over 75 bags of trash in three hours! We’re talking big heavy duty contractor bags filled with trash littering our streets… Sad but true. Year in Review: Our Work in 2021

Amidst the pandemic, unrest and shutdowns, Germantown United CDC responded to urgent and accelerated community needs. We adapted our core programs to continue to fulfill our mission in new ways, and even launched important initiatives for the first time, including our much-needed commercial corridor cleaning operation. In the New Year, we’ll launch Equitable Germantown and start providing home repairs for free to low-income homeowners, employing Germantown-based contractors to complete the work.  Please see our enclosed Year in Review to learn…
