Resident Services

OUR RESIDENT SERVICES
At our core, we are dedicated to empowering the residents of our community. Through Germantown’s Neighborhood Advisory Committees (NAC) Program, we provide valuable information about City programs and other resources that can make a difference in your life. Our guidance and referrals have helped to save renters from eviction, kept utilities on, and prevented at-risk homeowners from losing homes to foreclosure.

Neighborhood Advisory Committees (NAC) Program

Germantown United CDC serves as a bridge, connecting residents to vital resources and services.

  • Access to Resources: Our mission is to connect you with essential resources that contribute to your well-being and personal growth. From housing information to economic opportunities, we’re here to help.
  • Application Assistance: We provide support in completing applications for a variety of supportive programs, ranging from home repair initiatives and property tax relief to rent and utility assistance, and beyond. Our goal is to simplify the application process and ensure you can access the help you need by submitting a complete application on your first try.
  • Empowerment Through Information: We’re dedicated to keeping you informed. Our team gathers and maintains vital neighborhood information, ensuring you have access to the latest updates, events, and initiatives that impact our community.
  • Community Engagement: We believe that active community involvement is the heart of positive change. If you’re looking to become more engaged in your community but aren’t sure where to begin, we’re here to guide you.

Collaboration with the City of Philadelphia

In 2018, Germantown United CDC took took a significant stride by becoming a Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) organization. This positioned us within a citywide network of more than 20 organizations committed to supporting Philadelphia residents, with a specific focus on serving our community members with low to moderate incomes. The NAC Program operates under the guidance of the City of Philadelphia Division of Housing and Community Economic Development (DHCD). For more information, visit the NAC Program page.
