OPEN FOR THE SEASON

Thursdays from June through October 2018
Starting Thursday, June 14th

The Food Trust is opening a new farmers market for the 2018 season in collaboration with Germantown United CDC and Weavers Way Co-op. Located at Market Square Park, a previously underutilized neighborhood park and public space, this market features cooking demonstrations by The Food Trust; vendors; and community resources, music and entertainment by Germantown United CDC. In addition to the weekly vendors below, there will be guest appearances throughout the season by the many historic gardens and urban farms of Germantown.

Location: Market Square Park, 5501 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144
between School House Lane and Church Lane.

Hours: Weekly on Thursdays from 3pm – 7pm, June – October 2018

Look for:

  • Fresh fruits & veggies from Zookie’s Produce
    Fresh produce, Amish baked goods, jams, jellies and preserves
  • Cooking demos by The Food Trust nutrition educators
  • Smoked meats & fish from Ashbell’s Smokehouse Deli
  • Dry goods from Weavers Way Co-op
    Baked bread, nuts, dried food, coffee and other dry packaged food
  • Community resources, music, arts & entertainment sponsored by Germantown United CDC

Cash, SNAP/ACCESS cards, Philly Food Bucks and WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers
