About the Committees

Planning & Design Committee
The role of the Planning & Design Committee is to create a community-supported vision for comprehensive neighborhood revitalization. This will be done by securing the resources needed to develop a Germantown-wide neighborhood plan with clear implementation strategies, identified partners and resources towards neighborhood reinvestment.

Economic Development Committee
To increase economic opportunity in Germantown by promoting, attracting, retaining, and growing its businesses.

Programs & Promotions Committee
The job of the Programs and Promotions Committee is to promote Germantown as the center of commerce, culture, and community life for residents, investors and visitors alike. We organize “place building” initiatives in Germantown that create an environment that enables citizens to reclaim public space for positive use and change the image of Germantown.

Fundraising Committee
The GU Fundraising Committee is dedicated to raising the funds GU needs to thrive.
